There is a house I live in and depending on who looks, it's big or small and welcomes friends and crooks. It has windows to look out of, sights to see, a music box, jewelry, stories for you and me. It gets weathered in the storm and it gets cold in the rain. It gets warm in the sun and it shields me from nature's pain. The house was made with a pair of good hands and eyes. It holds still when mother nature cries. It stands firm in the cold and holds me close inside when I look for solace and comfort, a place to hide. There is a house I call a home and it is smart. It covers me up, shelters me in, comes with appliances, keeps out the wind. It keeps away the fright whether day or night and has a part to play, in my life with what I say. There is a house I live in that ages well with time. It was given to me as a gift and I can say it's mine. I decorate it however I want as much as the eye can see and I mark it as my own and others know that who lives there is me. The atmosphere is pleasant, the environment divine as I have water when I thirst, food when I hunger, sleep when I tire, and shelter when things seem dire.

Have you come to rescue me, my neighbor in the rough? I see you watching, I see you care, I see you smiling, I need a where. Have you come to set me free, my friend, are you that tough? I see you reach, I see you standing, I I see you hover, I need a landing.
